WorldWideWeb Forum — Discussion, Rebuilt for the Long Run

By Creaddinscart · A Sub-Service of the SHITP Network

The Problem We Wanted to Solve

Somewhere between the birth of the modern internet and where we are today, the act of having a conversation online quietly fell apart.

Post something on a mainstream platform and within thirty seconds it is buried under a thousand other things. Try to find a thread you participated in six months ago and you will scroll past advertisements, algorithmic recommendations, and engagement bait before giving up. Try to find a single comment worth remembering and you will discover that the platform has hidden it behind three layers of "top replies," "most relevant," and "you might also like."

The modern internet is not built for discussion. It is built for retention. It is built for impressions. It is built for the metric, not the meaning.

WorldWideWeb Forum exists to push back against that.

It is not another feed. It is not another timeline. It is a real forum, designed for real conversations, and built to last.

What Makes This Forum Different

Every piece of content has a permanent address.

Every post has its own URL — ?id=xxxxx. Every comment has its own URL — ?id=xxxxx#c-yyyyy. Every reply has its own anchor. If you want to share a single comment with a friend, you copy a link, and they see that comment in full context. No "scroll down to reply #47." No reconstruction from screenshots. The address is the content.

Search covers everything.

Not just titles. Not just the first paragraph. The entire body of every post, every comment, every reply is indexed and searchable. Type a phrase and you will find every discussion that ever mentioned it, highlighted where it appears.

There are no ads. There is no tracking. There is no algorithm.

What you see is what exists, sorted by discussion and time — not by what someone decided would keep you on the page longer. There are no engagement metrics tuning your experience. There is no machine learning deciding who gets seen.

Threads are threaded.

Replies nest under the comments they reply to. You can see who responded to whom. You can collapse and expand. You can follow a single line of argument through dozens of replies without losing context. This is how conversations were always supposed to work.

Clean, stable, familiar design.

The interface follows the Material 2D language that billions of people already understand: white space, restrained color, clear hierarchy, no decoration for decoration's sake. No popups. No interstitials. No "sign up to continue reading." Just the page.

Transparent numbers.

Every post and every comment displays its view count in real time. You do not have to guess whether a discussion is alive. The number is there.

Anti-abuse by design.

One comment per IP every thirty seconds. Display names capped at ten characters. Comment titles capped at fifty. Comment bodies capped at two hundred. A blacklist of prohibited names that is enforced at the moment of submission. The rules of the room are enforced by the software, not by volunteers who happen to be online.

Moderation that is effective, not invasive.

Administrators can delete posts, delete comments, ban users, and manage the name blacklist from a dedicated control panel. When a user is banned, everything they ever wrote is visibly hidden but never destroyed. Unban them and their entire history returns instantly. Nothing is lost. Nothing is silently rewritten.

Your data belongs to you.

Every post, every comment, every ban record lives in plain JSON on the server. You can export everything at any time. You can back it up. You can migrate it. You can inspect it. You are not renting your community from a company that can shut it down tomorrow.

Who This Forum Is For

It is for the person who is tired of being sorted into a feed they did not choose.
It is for the person who wants their words to remain findable.
It is for the person who wants a single comment to be linkable.
It is for the person who wants to own the room they speak in.
It is for the person who remembers what forums used to feel like, and wants that back.

Part of Something Bigger

WorldWideWeb Forum is a sub-service of the SHITP network, operated by Creaddinscart. SHITP is a long-running Minecraft Java server that also maintains its own live price tracker, plugin library, documentation site, and community news feed. The forum shares the same account system, the same visual language, and the same principles: simple, stable, free, community-driven.

Inside the SHITP network you can join play.shit.pub and build, trade, and explore. You can look up live item prices from the in-game shop. You can read server announcements and follow plugin releases. You can download the support library and build on top of our tools. You can find us on Discord, QQ, and Google Chat.

The forum is where all of that becomes a conversation.

If you believe that discussion online should be something more than a disappearing feed — that it should be readable, linkable, searchable, and permanent — this is the place.
